Our work depends on donations

In the school programme we work with a mixed calculation. A sponsorship covers learning materials, clothing and fees. One-off donations help when a child falls ill, or when the farming project needs feed and a new flock.

Accompanying a child through the school year

Average need per pupil, based on experience in 2022:

• Learning materials, school clothes, equipment. €30 a month.
• School fees. €45 a month.

Donations without a fixed sponsorship

Please transfer to our donation account. We use gifts of this kind for medical costs, particular needs of older pupils, and to support the farming project Balandize Kimeze.

Donation receipts: Please include your name and address with the transfer. As a rule we send a combined receipt for a calendar year in the first quarter of the following year.

Volunteering in Germany

To strengthen the association’s work and fundraising in Germany, we are looking for members who take an active voluntary part. More about membership

Possible tasks for people who are new:

• Writing for the website
• Helping with grant applications
• Support with financial planning and accounts

The tasks can be shaped around interest and ability. We are grateful for any help.

Once a month we hold a video call with our partners in Uganda, in English. Speaking without mistakes matters less than understanding each other.

Joint trips to Uganda are planned. A first group came together for a trip in spring 2025. Further people who are interested are welcome.
